Last Night we celebrated JT’s retirement with a meal at @cosyclub_canterbury , a few gifts and, of course, a little surprise to commemorate someone who has given so much to County Clothes over the years. ❤️
JT wasn’t just our longest-serving member of staff, he has become part of the fabric of County Clothes.
For years, he has been a familiar face, a trusted colleague and a friend. He has seen it all, shared countless laughs, worked incredibly hard and brought a unique energy into the store every single day.
From his amazing window displays and creative panels to the countless customers he helped, JT has left his mark on County Clothes in more ways than we could ever put into words.
So we wanted to create something that would ensure his name, and his contribution, will always have a place here.
We are incredibly proud to announce that our Suit Department has officially been renamed The J. Towner Suit Room, complete with its very own plaque.
It’s more than just a name on a wall. It’s a permanent reminder of the years of loyalty, dedication, laughter and friendship that JT gave to County Clothes.
Thank you for everything, JT.
You may have retired, but you’ll always be a part of the County Clothes family, and every time we walk into the J. Towner Suit Room, we’ll be reminded of the man who helped make this place what it is today.

Yesterday was a bitter-sweet day at @county_clothes_canterbury as our resident retail alchemist, John “JT” Towner, completed his final day with us. ❤️
JT has been our longest-serving member of staff, and over the years, he’s quite simply seen it all. From the laughs and the hard work, to the countless window displays and those amazing panels throughout the store, his creativity has left its mark on County Clothes in more ways than one.
But perhaps what we’ll miss most is the joy, character and pure energy JT brought with him every single time he walked through the front door.
